SoundClick artist: Lex C - I have a hip-hop flava with a lot of R&B. I also do gospel songs.

I'm a hot new artist that's gonna try to blaze up the scene with my style and flow. I hope y'all take kindly to me because I'm in this to be what I've always dreamed to be. Ain't no hater gonna stop me from getting my happily ever after cuz they'll get stomped on with not more hating, but with my progression. I don't care if you can't stand to see me doing good in this life, I only care about what's close to me, and what's close to me is my music. Don't try to change my game because I got my own style to establish. I am Lex C.

Why this name?

I was singing for my dad one night and after I was done, we sat at the table talking about the things I could do if I wanted to become famous. Then, he told me, " Your name could be Lex C. Because you know, you like your middle name Alexis, so you could call yourself Lex C." And that's how I got that name. I figured I may as well use it.

Do you play live?

I do play live if I'm asked, anywhere anyone wants me to perform. I love performing live because it gives you that rush of adrenaline because you don't know how the crowd will react, but once I start sanging and I get into it, can't nobody stop me from doin what I do. Period

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

I think it's a new way to promote new upcoming artists who are tryna make a comeup. That's the whole reason I'm on this is so I can have a fighting chance at becoming famous.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes I would if I could find one. I need all the help I can get. And if anyone got any advice for me, please hit me up.

Your influences?

My idol of all time is Alicia Keys. She can sang and her songs aren't filled with meaningless stuff. Other influences are Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Rubben Studdard, The Supremes, and many, many, many more.

Favorite spot?

My favorite place to be is Killeen, Texas. There's so much love in the South and all the people down here show it. Of course, with a lot of love there's also a lot of hate. But it's all good. I still love it in da Dirty Dirty. But Hawaii is by far the illest place I have ever been to. It truly is paradise where you can excape all the pressures of ignorance. It's the damn good in Hawaii. I am truly blessed to have been there.

Equipment used:

Right now, all I have is a laptop with a built in microphone and a free downloaded program known as Audacity. It works just the same as any other studio equipment. So, I still got it good.
