I've been writing lyrics since '97. Positive content, anti conformity and originality have always been a big focus in my music. I like to shake things up and get people thinking. I started out as a solo artist and then helped launch a group called Misinformants. We recorded 2 basement albums (Sundays, and Misinformed), with a third (The Process of Elimination) ready for mastering, due out this Summer. Through out I have continued to write and record solo tracks. I'm currently working on my debut solo release title "Night Lights for Dark Days". Set for release sometime this year. I have also been working on a project with Crimsonpaws called "The 37th Shield". And yet another project with Crimsonpaws plus Faze and Kase from Blue Le'Goon called Snakestompas. Stay tuned, there's gonna be a ton of new music droppin this year.
Why this name?
Lord- One who has power and authority. Leader, master, ruler, bread keeper.
Dru- Drew/Andrew/My name
Do you play live?
We play live about once or twice a month. Our homebase is the Berkley Front. I'm booking regularly there, so hit me up if you want to connect on a show. I like performing. I could rip a mic all f***in night. Mic in one hand beer in the other, I'm set.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has dramatically boosted my amount of contacts and networking. Having access to people all over the world is amazing. Mp3's are cool. I'm still a fan of going out and getting the official copy, but if its some pop star with one hit, than I say download that shit
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
UMMMM. Its hard to say what I would do in that situation. As long as I didnt lose creative control and get played the f*** out. Plus I'm not trying to be in the spotlight quite that much.
