Pipedream Project existed in Tampa, FL between 2001 and 2006 and consisted of Tim (vocals, guitars), Scott (lead guitars), Matt (bass, keyboards, guitars), and Roland (drum machine). The band's goal was to do everything as interestingly as possible. We never knew if material was good or bad until it was usually too late. The band broke up in 2006 after a good five year run.
Why this name?
Pipedream Project was exactly that. A pipedream.
Do you play live?
No longer. The band broke up in December of 2006.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
As much as you want it to.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Never going to happen.
Band History:
Tim and Scott got together in 2000 to write songs and eventually play out. By posting a want ad in a guitar store they were able to round out the band with Matt on bass. Roland the drum maching kept the rhythm faithfully as apparently every drummer that answered our ads was really good except for the whole "keeping time" bit. Overrated.
Your influences?
Alternative, trip-hop, goth, eighties rock.
Favorite spot?
St. Petersburg and Tampa
Equipment used:
Guitars, basses, keyboards, drum machines.
