Why this name?
I like to keep things simple. I'm a solo artist and make my own background arrangements, so I just go with my name.
Do you play live?
I am currently serving at Higher Vision Church in Castaic, CA. If you're ever in town, services are every Sunday at 9 and 10:45 a.m.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
RADICALLY!!! There is no question that the personal computer in combination with the world wide web has made it completely affordable for regular guys like me to finally record their stuff and blast it out for the world to hear!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not. I've learned that the major labor dream most of us are persuing is radically different than what's really going on in the music business. The last one I interviewed with wanted me to shell out $475 a month for the rest of my career! I think independent is the best way to go if you want to manage your own career.
Band History:
I have been writing original Christian music since 1981. I literally performed my first Christian song the same day I became a born again Christian! Over the years, I had composed dozens of songs, but never did any kind of recording. Soon after the 911 attack on America, I was laid off and had some time to take the first step toward recording. Using Sonic Foundry's Acid Pro software to "fill in" the parts, I completed 17 songs in two months, and over 25 to date.
I have played in several local Christian bands over the years including Heartfelt, Change of Heart, Souls in Exile and Extol.

Your influences?
Steven Curtis Chapman, Phil Keaggy (early years), George Benson, Santana and Genesis.
Favorite spot?
Vancouver, B.C.
Equipment used:
I play an Ibanez Artstar semi-hollow jazz guitar, an old '57 mahogony Martin OO-14 acoustic guitar and an Ibanez solid body for my rock songs. I also play an Alesis QS7 keyboard and sing lead vocals and harmonies on most of my songs.
Anything else...?
Acknowledgements:
First and foremost, I would like to give thanks to the One who created me in His own image, and has entrusted me with the gift of music and song. May all the praise, honor and glory for this work be unto Him! Second, I would like to thank my beautiful wife, Colleen, who patiently stood by me while I worked countless hours preparing and perfecting the music. Finally, I would like to thank the folks at Sonic Foundry, Inc., who provided me with the tools needed to make the accompaniment tracks which help make the songs have an excellent quality that honors God.
