MANDALA is an alternative rock group based in West Palm Beach, FL. Original members have been collaborating for several years. The circle is now complete with five members. MANDALA's growing fan base is a direct result of self-promotion and intense shows. The music is powerful and moving, leaving anyone in attendance stunned. Melodic riffs, pulsating rhythms and killer vocals make for this eclectic mixture of unique music.

In October of 2001, MANDALA recorded a powerful four song demo. Each of the four songs on this demo are a direct representation of the band's artistic ability and diversity. From the opening track, Out of Phaze, one can immediately sense the band's conviction. The music is honest and in your face and the lyrics are nothing short of great. The second track is Suddenly Just Like That. This track is an example of the band's excellent musicianship. The driving rhythm and complex chord structures, paired with the dramatic lyrics and beautiful harmonies make this song a must listen. Following Suddenly Just Like That is Merger. This song is equally as great as the others. The tight rhythm section accompanied by intelligent lyrics and amazing outro make for a great song - live and on the stereo. And in the closing track is To Sea. This song is usually saved as the closer during live performances, due to it's raw intensity. Once again the band demonstrates it's honesty and integrity through it's music. This song is driven by complex drum work and crushing guitars. Lyrics are excellent as can be expected.

Why this name?
The word MANDALA means circle. It is representative of the circle that all of us make as a whole in the band.
Do you play live?
Live shows are frequent for us. We LOVE to play shows and have been doing so for quite a while now. We feel a powerful live performance is the best way to intimately affect a person. We get a great response from the growing crowds that attend our shows.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet adds a new venue for artists and music lovers to promote their music. The possibilities are truly endless and in this day and age, those that are not taking advantage of this technology are fools.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
absolutely
Your influences?
Our influences expand through a very wide range of history and styles. Everyone from Tool, to The Doors, to Coltrane, to The Cure, to Marley... There's too many to list.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot on earth would be anywhere with my guitar.
