Mistabluesman
Doc Quinn
Over the years I have played Country, Rockabilly, Rock & Roll, Gospel and older style R&B. The Blues has been good to me. I love the Blues. I am the sort of man that can give my own self the blues at times and the genre just fits my disposition of life like a glove! Always remember this .... " This old world we live in at times can hurt us and even make us cry, but not to worry, we have our blues music to get us thru it all".
Thanks for the drop by Baby!

Why this name?
Well, it was a long time ago, about (1973). A very dear friend of mine (Tom) used to call me Mista Doc and that just sort of hung with me and it wasn't too long after that other friends and fellow musicians started calling me "Mista Doc Bluesman". So, over the years it has developed into
Doc "Mistabluesman" Quinn - Comin' Atcha Baby!
| Do you play live? Now and then at different places where folks ask me to play! It might be acoustic or an electric show, just which ever it is that they like!
|
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry? It gives musicians and vocalist the opportunity to share their music with the world which without the net would be near impossible.
|
Would you sign a record contract with a major label? Sure, if it suited me and record company could put up with me but only if it was a good thing for the folks that like to hear my music!

Band History: To quote a dear friend (Banker) Doc "Mistabluesman" Quinn's instrumental - Hot To Trot "Hot Electric Blues from the Doc. He's got so many sounds coming out of that axe you would swear he's got 4 hands and three guitars going at the same time. This is a scorcher of an Electric Blues tune". This is how I play for my friends and fans and have been doing so since I started playing 52 years ago. I have played with some greats and in 2002 I had the opportunity to play at the Nashville Sessions with the Blues AllStars and must say I list the sessions at the top of my kick ass times list. You can listen to the blues we made during that session right here at Sound Click and Hey!, you can even pick up a CD and/or the DVD of the kick ass time we had! Click the link below and get set for some great blues from the cats that were there.

Favorite spot? Wow, this is a hard question for me. I travel over 200,000 miles per year just in the US and I have so many favorite places. I gues my best answer would be, "At Home With My Family"

Equipment used: I Have several instruments but I guess I favor playing my Les Paul using my Ampeg ReverbRocket tube amp, Inline 6 Pod and sometimes my V-Amp!
