*Who am I? Aaron James I’m a music producer…
*I am and have always been a music lover. Period.
*I was born in Vegas, raised in Cali, and have lived in Europe.
*My life experiences as a DJ and my background has really influenced my production style and how I view music.
*My style is eclectic. I listen to a little bit of everything.
*It's as simple as this: If you love it…do it.
*Anyway, I've said enough. I'll let my tracks do the talking...Peace...
Why this name?
The reason I chose to the name I was born with, instead of a stage name or an alias, is because I want my listeners to know that with anything I create, it was a result of my creativity, and not someother personality or name I go by. I don't have anything to hide...this is me baby! My Momma gave me this name...so I roll with it! lol
Do you play live?
I DJ, so I definitely see the impact music has on people and know what it takes to get them to move.
I used to be in band too, and played the alto sax, so I know a lil something, something about playing live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
With new technologies, I think most businesses are apprehensive to wanna try something new...and step outside of the box.
The crazy thing is, some of the most successful businesses have became that way because of their willingness to wanna do something new.
The Internet has huge potential. Several acts have been able to make it major through the internet. Anytime you can sit inside your house, and yet be able to reach millions or even billions of people...that's major.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Defintely...if the record label and I could reach an agreement that would lead to both parties being happy about the decision that was made.
In other words...yeah! lol.
Pretty much...give me a chance...I'm an asset. ;)
Your influences?
I'm a big fan of creative people, regardless of genre.
Here's a few:
Timbaland, Just Blaze, Kanye West, Dangermouse, Eminem, Paul Oakenfold, Felix Da House Cat, Jazze Pha, Green Lantern, Mannie Fresh, Swizz Beats, Juno Reactor, Quincy Jones, DJ Quik, Rick Ruben, Havok, The Alchemist, Rob Dougan, DJ Premier, The Neptunes, Rick Rock, Organized Noize, Dr. Dre, John Williams, Danny Elfman, Ennio Morricone etc. ..
Favorite spot?
There's so much out in the world, but I'd have to say Europe. It's really chill...and iit's an interesting environment to live in. Man...even though I was young when I lived there, just living there for the years I did really changed my perspective musically. I also like beaches...L.A... If I get a chance to travel more, then I'll definitely add more to this list.
Equipment used:
My creativity. Reason. A Keyboard. A few of the tricks I have up my sleeve...etc...
Anything else...?
I wanna be known as a music producer.
I like all types of music, and eventually, would like to be a part of every genre of music.
Hip-Hop is my first love musically...but there's so much else in the world that's going on outside of it as well.
