play lo-fi play hi-fi  WHO OWNS THE SUN SAMPLER
Hypnotic, spellbinding ... Jack Schitt sings with a voice as smooth as polished granite. Chaya backs him up and sings her own songs with an Emmylou Harris quality.
Why this name?
Because the Lawrence Welk Orchestra name was already taken.
Do you play live?
Playing live seems preferable to playing dead.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I had an MP3 for lunch and it was delicious.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
My foster father secretly owns all the major labels.

A NEW ALBUM FOR ALL TIME

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONG REVIVAL, VOLUME ONE: PRESERVATIONS is now available. Most of these songs have been number one hits in the past and needed reinterpretation to appeal to a modern audience, JACK SCHITT AND THE OUTHOUSE PLAYERS have taken great pleasure in making these great classics available once again.

JACK SCHITT'S -- “WHO OWNS THE SUN”

The songs on this album were written across many decades. The songs do not suffer from being dated or topical in the moment only. It is not just an album with just one good song and a lot of songs that you want to skip. WHO OWNS THE SUN is an entire album filled with classical masterpieces that will last for hundreds of years!

JACK SCHITT'S BIOGRAPHY
See http://www.JackShitt.biz for serious inquiries.

Born the illegitimate child of a famous movie actress and an American president, Jack was set adrift in a reed boat on the concrete banks of the Los Angeles River. He was discovered and rescued by the master criminal Lex Luther just before he was about to be eaten by one of the infamous white alligators that inhabit the Los Angeles sewer system.

Having exhibited an early penchant for writing songs, the Luthers forced him to write 14 hours a day, then secretly sold his compositions to all the famous recording artists of the day. As of last count, he ad written 1,234,567 songs, of which 987,654 were chart records clandestinely owned the Luther estate.
Your influences?
The EGYPTIAN BOOK OF THE DEAD, dogs howling, sirens screaming, storms blowing and jackals laughing.

Toothbrushes, soap, shampoos and wash clothes and deodorants for impeccable hygiene.
Anything else...?
