Hi,
Danny here
Thanks for stopping by,
I am just a guy who likes to keep things simple, but given a chance can complicate anything,so writing this paragraph to explain who I am and what I am doing here is proving to be quite a task :) so please bare with me
I am a songwriter for the most part, this allows me freedom to write songs from many different genres and styles.Discribing or catagorizing my music
is impossible for me.....I just go with the flow and let creativity lead the way,and try to figure out afterwards what genre it is.
I have been writing songs since late seventies, and have a gazillion songs on cassette from the old 4 track cassette recorder.
I never pursued the (buisness end)of the industry, partly due to the fact I couldn't imagine spending so much money to create a demo in a studio to impress the "gate keepers" who would at their leasure "approve or disapprove" a song going into the massive "ok pile" that (might )be recorded and (maybe )make a buck in return.I always knew my hand tools would bring in a paycheck and couldnt see handing my families well being to anyone else. And of course fear and the lack of self confidence played a big part,so I took the safe route. Please ,I dont use terms"gate keepers"to downgrade anyone, just trying to show the attitude I had in my ignorance.
Now , things are different, sure the fears still there(wouldnt be exciting without it) but now with the personal computer, multi track recording software programs(and all those buttons lol)
With the new "window to the world" we call the internet, and music sites like Soundclick(which I am very honored to be a part of)and the shift in the entire music industry........
I find myself without excuses ...................and no more words at this point hehe(to be continued) lol

Do you play live?
I have played live in the past and loved it.
I would love to again but for now I am just trying
to get better at writing and presenting my songs,
in hopes that I can one day make a decent living
with my songs as a songwriter

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Before the internet and music sites like Soundclick
My ability to get songs into the hands of one person
was a huge challenge, but now and especially with the
p/c and recording software and mp3's
I can get good sounding(discussable lol) songs
in front of hundreds,if not thousands .And with a
push of button I can make my songs availible to the
entire planet instantly
(ugh........literally)and very easily
I would say thats a big change
Of course on the other hand those that have
made a living in the industry prior to this new
(button)have had their entire world turned
upside down
And I certainly feel for them at this time but
adaptation is the key to survival and the only
constant is change
And just as the c/d's industry took over
the vinyl and cassette industry the end
result will benifit all, I think
I certainly am enjoying the benifits
