Welcome to the Red Ant featuring Below Average Dave Parody Page. Red Ant is a parody author from amiright.com. A site dedicated to misheard lyrics and parodies. Haven written hundreds of parodies, Red Ant was only missing one thing from his work. . .recordings. Then Below Average Dave, who has recorded a large quantity of parodies, came across his work. A friendship formed almost immediately and thus Below Average Dave has started performing some of Red Ant's songs.
Why this name?
Red Ant is the writer. He writes all the songs on this page wether or not Below Average Dave is the vocallist. That is his screen name everywhere.

Similarly, Below Average Dave is just his artist name, he has been performing for awhile and rather than come up with something new, Red Ant featuring Below Average Dave seemed right so that no one on the sites they used had to figure out who this was.
Do you play live?
At least at the moment no. Below Average Dave does however perform some of his parodies at random locations when he is out of town at open-mic karaokee and by request for different purposes. David also sings parodies by request and Red Ant is known for writing parodies for special occassions as well.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, to put it frankly. . .Red Ant and Below Average Dave would have never met without it and you wouldn't see this page, so I think that speaks for itself.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Good God Yes, let's be realistic. . .it isn't going to happen, but I think it's safe to say that if a label contacted Red Ant or Below Average Dave, that either one could use the financial aspect of it.
Band History:
Red Ant has been around the world of parodies for a long time and started posting on AmIRight in 2005. Dave wrote his first parody back in the early 90s, when he was in his early teens. For more info on Red Ant, it is recommended that you visit amiright.com, for more on Below Average Dave you should head to his personal site badave.com
