Amaurosis is the musical vision of two creative minds from Kent, England. Formed under the name "Nigress" as a Generic Black Metal project in late 2005, Amaurosis has since evolved into an unrecognisable and far uglier beast.

The process of incorporating progressive elements into the early works (as displayed on the second half of the forthcoming release) has slowly grown in scale - the new sound drags Black Metal where few will think to take it. Painting Industrial, Ambient and Extreme Doom elements onto an experimental Black Metal canvas has given Amaurosis a sound entirely of their own. Expect nothing more and nothing less than the sound of your world decaying around you!
