The Ability is a 3 piece band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The band mixes gritty riffs, thought provoking lyrics, and melodies that will stick to your brain, with a live show that will have you writing home to mom, to create the hottest act this side of the globe.
Why this name?
We wanted a name that would represent us to the public without them ever hearing us. What better than "The Ability"?
Do you play live?
We play live all around the Oklahoma region, working on shows as far west as Albaquerque, as far north as Omaha, and as far east as York, PA.
We love gigging. It's what we live for. Any special moments? Yes. Every time we step foot on stage.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
This is probably the same answer as everyone else, but the internet gives ANY band the opportunity to be heard by the entire world. No radio station can boast that.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the deal was right, yes.
Band History:
We've been playing together for almost 3 years now, and have no intentions of stopping now. We've developed a great relationship with each other, and can almost anticipate each others musical "moves".
Your influences?
Our influences range from Alice in Chains, to Our Lady Peace, to Sound Garden, to Rage Against the Machine, to REM. Hence the gritty guitar, mixed with great melodies, and thought provoking lyrics.
Favorite spot?
There's nothing like playing in front of your home crowd. No crowd loves your band like your home town crowd. Oklahoma City.

This is easy for us. Drums, Bass, Guitar, Vocals.
Anything else...?
I think we cought the sound of a toilet flushing on one of our recordings. It got buried in the mix, however. Does that count?
