How many times have you gotten a CD and purchased something that you didn’t realize that you had. A gem among stones. That is the experience that Autumn brings to the table. She sings out of her heart from a woman’s standpoint. Definitely, a voice for the modern woman.
Women need to hear that they are not alone in this world. They need to stand up and tell brothers that … hey, “I’m A LADY”, and you will not treat me in any other way than what God has made me to be. Struggles and issues happen even to the strongest women. All you truly need is faith in God, and he will fulfill every desire that you truly have. Even though you may have an ugly past, you can still call on God to be your security. Trading your past “ASHES FOR BEAUTY” that only he can bring. God will bring you to a point in your life where only he matters. You will realize that It is only him that can give you the Satisfaction that your soul longs for. You will say that “IT IS YOU” and only you that can bring me the joy, peace, and love that I truly desire. Believe me, It’s “WORTH IT.” When you begin to live “LIKE DAVID”, and “EXPERIENCE” God in a new light then he will give you the desires that every woman longs for … her “SOLOMAN.” And it only warrants one response … “THANK YOU.”

Do you play live?
Yes. I’ve done shows in the Baton Rouge area and abroad. I love performing live. It gives me a sense of being personal with my audience. It is a very uplifting and fulfilling experience, but it also leaves you vulnerable in front of them. The times when you bear your soul. They see the connection and passion that you have with your music, with the issues that you have overcome. There is nothing like it. It also gives you an opportunity to minister to them. To give them truth amongst the lies that they have been told.
There was this one performance in Lafayette, where I was given the opportunity to open up for Lacrae, a National Gospel Hip-Hop artist. It was my very first performance and one that I will never forget. The response was incredible and I was able to touch many lives. I Praise God For That Opportunity.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Mismanagement of the internet can be detrimental to the music industry. As far as artists are concerned, It depends on your motives for being in the industry. If this is your bread and butter, then you really have to manage the internet like you do your career, with an iron fist. There are many ways that people can steal your music. People don’t understand that this is how most musicians eat and live. It’s almost like a thief coming into your home and stealing everything you worked hard for. It’s ridiculous.
But if you are a “Soul Musician”, one that does it purely for the love of music, then all you want is to get the music out, and there is no problem. So, you need to realize your motives for being in the industry in the first place.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Right now I probably wouldn’t sign with a Major, because I am presently in an internship with my church. It demands too much of my time. And when I do something, I like to put my whole heart into it. If I can’t devote 100% of my time into it, I don’t like to do it. I don’t like a half-hearted effort.
Band History:
I’ve been doing music for about 7 years now. I’ve been singing all of my life. I love the creative process when it comes to writing songs and getting thing off my chest. I started writing with an up and coming local Gospel artist, Slimothy, recording under the label, Sanctified Sound. Off and on, I had been recording for the past couple of years. Doing hooks and features. Things like that. There was this producer for the label that wanted to do a project with me, so, we got to work. We came up with a lot of good songs. Some he wrote, some I wrote. Other track producers were involved and we finished an E.P. (Extended Play) disc. Something that isn’t a full album, but longer than a Demo. It was a very good experience and I can’t wait to finish the full album.
Favorite spot?
I don’t have a preference in a spot or city, Wherever there is a need for a woman to be empowered, or enlightened to the truth that they are not weak and inferior, but can stand up and be who God called them to be, I will be there. Not as a, so-called, musical messiah, but as someone who has been there and has overcome a lot of the struggles that we go through. I’m not all the way free, I still go through things, but I will try to always be there for my sisters, no matter the race, creed, or issue. I am true to my calling. Doesn’t Matter.
