Why this name?
I thought of two random words when i was off my head on acid. I wrote them on a piece of paper. Coincidentally the two words i'd chosen at random just happened to be my own name; what are the chances of that???
Do you play live?
I'm taking a break from live performances at the moment to concentrate on recording. I still play every fortnight at the Adam and Eve, Bradford St, Digbeth, Birmingham; i host Groundswell, an acoustic open mic night, and i'm a regular on the BBC WM acoustic sessions.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives false hope to more amateur songwriters than big business ever could. I guess it's more democratic though. Trouble is, when i go online to further advance my music career, i get distracted by the other things there are to do on the internet. Gambling, people trafficking etc.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
errr...yes
Your influences?
Thought provoking lyrics. Interesting music. Pretty simple really.
Equipment used:
Acoustic guitar, but i'll be adding a loop pedal and effects to my live shows very soon, which i'm childishly and massively excited about.
Anything else...?
I've got an EP coming out in March called 'Gremlins'. I'm really proud of how it's sounding so far; easily the best stuff i've ever recorded, and it'll be available on here as soon as it's ready. Oh, and i don't really do acid, by the way.
