Shadow's Interlude is my solo project--mostly ambient and classical songs. My music varies quite a bit from song to song as I'm not trying to compile an album as such; I'm simply writing music as a hobby, and I enjoy sharing what I create. That's what this page is for.

I hope you like it.

Why this name?
I use "ShadowJim" as a name online a lot. It seemed to fit well, and I like the imagery it conjures up for me.
Do you play live?
I don't, as I only play guitar and none too well, really.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on the fine print, but I don't see a reason why not.
Band History:
I got into music by playing guitar. Not long after I started playing classical pieces, then playing on a classical guitar.

As far as my composing goes, that just slowly developed over time. Some friends of mine helped me with the basics of music theory, and I'd like to thank them here: Thanks!

And many and more thanks to Mike, for his help with the technical end of digital composing. Check out his band The Black Infernum.

Your influences?
Mostly J.S. Bach, but also Nobuo Uematsu, Kitaro, some Japaneses traditional music and some progressive metal bands (though I don't try writing much metal).
