THE GIMYX.... hell yeah... you've never heard of us... but now that you've discovered the huge sound of this lil three piece from panama city beach, florida you'll never be the same... punk rock... raw and rough just how you want it THE GIMYX
Why this name?
well, we're tired of all these new bands claiming to be punk but, really just being lame... to them it's fashion, to us it's an outlook on life so in protest we call ourselves THE GIMYX
Do you play live?
we play at house parties mostly, but recently we've acquired a confidence that begs us to play small clubs... so if you wanna book us ( anywhere in the panama city area) get in touch
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it makes it easier to find the kinds of music that really speaks to you... that and if you are poor like I was when I was a kid.. it makes it easier to get music that you don't have the money to buy
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
major... indie... it doesn't matter.. we just wanna sign with someone that will do the right thing by us, and that will represent our music in the best way possible.... that and one that won't screw us

can't see the future if your always lookin at the the past
Your influences?
it ranges from classic rock to classic punk rock, to metal, to reggea,to ska, 90's grunge... it's all in there.... but I would say NOFX and Sublime are major influences to our style
Favorite spot?
Panama City Beach during spring break... always a blast, never dissapointing

nrg 6 channel P.A., crate 12" monitors, esp guitar, epiphone guitar, fender guitar, pacific drums, zildjian cymbols blah blah blah
