Well, my first name is of course, my real name. The (Britt) part, is actually derived from my given name. My father, who was a 30 year Army man, was always called Britt, so there you have it. For stage, it works and it is my honor to use the name my father was so fond of.

I definitely see the internet as a catalyst for marketing, promotional opportunities etc. With the advent of digital music transfer, I artists being able to share and spread their music in a way, which they never could before. The record labels see the impact of it as well. Hopefully, they're watching me now!

Yes I certainly would. Of course, my management is pursuing such associations for me presently and the prospects of having that kind of marketing power and ability to share my music are my goals. Letting the world hear my music, that is my dream. Indeed I will sign with a label, and very soon.

My history is pretty long, but basically I started singing when I was a kid in church choir. I got out of music quite a while back, and my wife made me look at it again in 1997. I decided to go for it, all or nothing. I chose all.

My influences would be Paul McCartney, The Beatles, George Strait, Gerry Rafferty,Dwight Yoakam...

What can I say about Peter Britt?


The artist, songwriter, published author and the man, PLENTY!!


First let’s go with his outstanding voice. It captured my attention right
off. I grew up listening to some of thee greatest in the Country/
Rockabilly genre, so it is the one thing I know; my love of country music
and the genres that follow under it. I put Peter right up there, if not as
great; which personally I think He is!!, with the likes of Moe Bandy,
Johnny Paycheck, Ronnie Millsap, The Statler Brothers, even a touch of
"Hello Darlin" Conway Twitty and Kick Butt Jerry Lee Lewis, all wrapped up
in Peter Britt. Whether he’s singing “Sweet On My Mindâ€쳌, “Always Be My
Girlâ€쳌, and the song he wrote for his first love; the woman behind the man,
his wife Sheri Lynn, which is called “Sheri Lynnâ€쳌 with his make you swoon,
capture your heart flair of Conway. Oh yes ladies, it will make you do just
that. Then you hear him singing " It Only Takes A Momentâ€쳌, “Guess I Won’t
See You Anymoreâ€쳌, “I Was Going To Be Her Man " with the power behind the
voice and the flair of Paycheck, Bandy, Millsap, and able to deliver it to
perfection as they did. Then you have "I Remember Whenâ€쳌, and “That’s What
Living’s For". He could be one of the Statler Brothers; need I say more?
Just listen to him and you will know. Let him kick it up a few notches with
the pizzazz of Jerry Lee when he's singing “Blue Jeans, and High Heelsâ€쳌 and
“Lay The Sugar On.â€쳌


I have a copy of Peter Britt’s "That’s What Living’s For " CD; it is
priceless to me. I can’t get enough of listening to him. I wouldn’t sell
it for a million dollars. That is how much I love and enjoy it. I sure
can’t wait to get his new one when it’s released; from what I hear, it will
be major hits! Written by the man himself, like all of his are and from the
heart of Peter Britt. Since we are touching base on that; I have had the
honor; let's say extreme pleasure of reading Peter’s manuscript from his
soon to be released book, " All That I Am, I Think ". When you’re snuggling
down in that queen size bed built for a king, listening to Peter’s CD‘S,
make sure his book is in your hands, I guarantee you won’t need that big
old comforter to keep you warm; you will be captured by every word and
every line.


You will get to know the man Peter Britt, more in depth than you could ever
dream of knowing. You drift off to Sweet Dreams with Peter Britt in your
mind and his name a whisper on your lips. As a published author, a
poetess, a lyrist for many of years having known thousands of poets,
poetess, songwriters; I know an outstanding writer.


When other writers read his art, yes it’s a gifted art, which Peter has
been well blessed with; they will know I am speaking the truth. Just read
some of Peter’s writings on his sites, his blog in my space; he’s even got
raving feedback at two poetry forums that I posted his art at; that I am
honored to be a part of and a moderator of;

published authors by almost every member.


Now I have touched base on his music, his writing but now I want to say
some things about the man behind it all; Mr. Peter Britt. I have known
some men in my life that haven’t touched me half as much as this man; I’m
not saying that they are not respectable men, because the truth be told
they are but, Peter is one in a million with a caring heart as big as the
sky and as endless as Eternity. By that, I mean it never stops; he would
give his shirt off his back if it would help another and he puts women on a
pedestal. They are one of God’s greatest creations in his eyes. He treats
them with nothing but respect. When they are hurt by any form; he hurts.
He’d be one of the first to stand up for them and their rights. I have had
to calm him down a few times myself since I’ve known him over what he has
taken as being disrespectful to me as a woman and a fellow human being. I
will say he’s not one to loose his temper, but let them mess with a woman,
family, a friend of his; well I wouldn’t want to be knee deep in their
boots and what they stepped into for it. Yet he doesn’t agree or hold him
self above all the rest; he thinks of himself as just average. Well I am
here to say that there is nothing average in any shape or form to the man
known as Peter Britt.


So record labels, producers, publishers; it’s passed time that you start
noticing Peter’s amazing talent and his amazing voice. Stop going with all
these pretty boy, one hit song types, after their looks, and listeners
really start taking notice that they are not as hot as you think they are.
After you have spent millions of dollars getting them noticed; what will
you have a few years down the road? Enough said! You do not have to take my
word; I am just a huge fan, friend, a believer in never giving up on your
dreams, a writer and a promoter, which I will say I only promote the
greatest independent artists who never give up on their dreams. They pour
true drive and know they want that brass ring, that shining star on music
row. They are not going to stop until they take their last breath and sing
to the Greatest Kingdom of them all. Like I said, don’t take my word, read
from statements from some great net stations and DJ’s that air Peter
Britt’s music; even interviewed him; the ones that support our Independent artist
Not looking for pretty faces, know country when country was country, know what
they love because of the voice, the writer and the performer. Also read what a

Let me share something exciting with you. My name is Marvin Lane. I am a published author of three poetry and lyric books. I love reading poetry and lyrics and when I come across an artist, either poet or song writer, who is a cut above the rest I get very excited. Well let me share with you one that I feel is more than just a cut above the rest. I am talking about a songwriter and soon to be published author named Peter Britt. I first came across Mr. Britt’s talent when a friend introduced me to his music. I was very impressed with his singing but more important I was fascinated by his lyrics. He is truly a gifted artist. There aren’t many Country Artists out there that I feel are better in talent than Peter. I feel that once heard, he will set hearts on fire with his passion for living and his awesome voice. If these record producers were smart, they would sign Peter with no questions asked. He in my opinion is a true superstar and someone that I think the music industry needs.
The other great talent that Peter is , is the ability to write not only lyrics but short stories. I read a short story by Peter titled “A Blossomingâ€쳌. I was so very impressed in the feeling that is in his writings. He’s truly a multi-gifted artist. But don’t take my word for it. Check him out for yourself and you will see and hear what I did.

Recently I was honored to interview Peter Britt. Let me say a few words on that experience to give you an idea of exactly what Peter Britt is about. Peter to sum it up is all about the fans his music is meant to entertain and believe me it does. Peter writes his own music which comes from mostly his giant heart and thought that come to mind that he forms into the great lyrics you hear if your smart enough to listen. In the time that I spoke with Peter I discovered what type of man he is. If hearts had different colors Peters would be gold, I say this because of the passionate way Peter speaks of his friends, his music, and life in general. I truly enjoyed my interview with Peter and I wish him all the success he deserves. I so look forward to getting to talk with Peter again. Dixie Boys and PNT radio were very exited to have him and look forward to having him in the future. Oh and by the way I cant wait to read his book. Yes he writes books too. A friend sent me some Peter Britt tracks and asked me to listen. I got hooked instantly, before finishing the first track!
"Bluejeans, High Heels and Fire Red Hair", grabbed my attention like a bulldog and just wouldn't let go.
By the time I'd finished, I was begging for more!
The crazy thing is, the songs just kept getting better and better as I listened on.
You can hear in his lyrics that Peter Britt writes from his heart, and that great clean, crisp sound he has,
allows his emotions and feeling to be heard ... there's no mistaking it. Peter Britt is here to stay.
Clearly, he's carved out his own path in Country music. His songs cover all aspects of life, but his love songs really hit home.
