Billed as a Boston based rock trio, Plastik features the introspective, confessional lyrics and driving, big guitar sounds of frontman Dorsey Stone, punchy, melodic bass lines played by Matt Olivo, and the crisp, punk influenced drumming of Todd Martin. The members of Plastik have been making their mark on the Boston music scene for the past two years, refining their sound, and recently completing their much awaited self-titled debut album. Serving up unstoppable live performances at venues such as T.T. The Bear's Place and the Middle East downstairs, Plastik is rapidly emerging as one of Boston's premier rock bands.
Why this name?
Plastik is a reference to the priority placed on the "packaging" of bands and the lack of attention to the actual quality of the content.
Do you play live?
We play live as much as possible at various venues. Primarily, we play around the Boston areas at places including TT The Bear's Place and The Middle East (downstairs).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet, mp3s, etc has changed the music biz by essentially levelling the playing field and allowing bands like Plastik to be heard virtually anywhere in the world by anyone.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yup. What can I say; irony is a beautiful thing.
Your influences?
Big guitars, big drums, punchy bass & digital ambient effects. New rock.

NYC
