Available at
Richard H. Bright..
from 5th February 2010

Why this name?
Its my real name, so why not use it. It aint that bad a name is it?
Do you play live?
Not a live performer, not enough hands to play everything at once.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes your music more accessable to the world at large.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh yes! They´re the ones with all the resources for promotion, and advertising. I certainly couldn´t do it all myself. However, I would still want to be myself and not be put in a test-tube.
Band History:
Richard H. Bright, born 5 Feb 1953 in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England.
---o---
Secondary Modern education at Grantham, Lincolnshire till 1968. Further education at Grantham Tech College till 1969, then joined the British Army.
---o---
Military carreer with the Royal Engineers, serving in UK and Germany till 1983.
---o---
From 1984 till 1992 worked in car sales, selling new tax free cars to the armed forces in germany.
---o---
From 1992 till 2006 worked in a photo lab at Mönchengladbach, Germany. Since April 2006 decided to make music composing a full time career, which was till that date only a hobby.
Hmm, guess that means I´m unemployed!
---o---
The best bit of luck so far was discovering www.tunecore.com it´s a place ideal for artists like me who have no label, to get their music up on the online shops like iTunes, Rhapsody, and Napster.
---o---
Your influences?
Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart, and all the classical masters.
Jean Michel Jarré, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis,
Mike Oldfield, Robert Miles
Favorite spot?
I love Venice (the real one in Italy).
I also love the Côte d´Azur.
And of course my birthplace and my brothers place in England.
Equipment used:
A good old fanshioned piano and my Yamaha keyboard for composing, then transposing and arranging on the PS2. Recording and remixing on my Laptop.
Anything else...?
I don´t use samples that one gets in most music programms, because I need to break them down to their individual notes. I like to have a melody in most cases. So it takes me a while before I have the finished result.
