Welcome to Star City, WV. Enjoy your stay.
Why this name?
Star City is a sleepy, tree-laden, mountain-shadowed suburb of Morgantown, part of the poor, proud state of West Virginia. I can't count how many times I passed over the dirty brown Monongahela river and glanced at the beat-up, rusted old sign that announced your entrance into Star City. It seemed like a pretty good name for a band.
Band History:
Art thou pale for weariness
Of climbing heaven and gazing on the earth,
Wandering companionless
Among the stars that have a different birth,
And ever changing, like a joyless eye
That finds no object worth its constancy?
- Shelley

Your influences?
I cannot definitively point my finger at something tangible and obvious and say "that! --- that is what we sound like!" But I do know that when you listen to as much music as I do, it all comes out in some way or another.
Favorite spot?
Fishing. Anywhere.
Equipment used:
Fender 60th Anniversary Telecaster or a Les Paul Studio Plus, run through a Vintage Rat pedal and on into a 1973 Fender Twin Reverb. Simple, but it does the job admirably.
Anything else...?
The music should speak for itself. Check it out and tell me what you think. A lot of the songs on here are strictly demos (without even vocals). If you want more, go to my other site at http://www.myspace.com/starcitywv.
