Jimmy Joe Long - Guitar and Vocals.
Don Carroll - Saxophone and Keybords.
Charlie Knight - Bass
Don Lacy - Drums

Why this name?
The bands name came from Don Lacy and Don Carroll because they lived on Little York Road and started their musicial career there in the late 50's. The other two members, Jimmy Joe Long and Charlie Knight, grew up reasonably close on the north side of Houston, Texas. So the name was a no brainer.
Do you play live?
Of course we perform live. We play various clubs and concerts in our area and travel to other states as well.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it possible for independent bands and artists to have thier music heard by a far greater number of people.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely. Even though we have our own independent label we would love to sign with a major label. Who wouldn't!!
Band History:
The history of the band is too long to list everything. To summarize: Jimmy Joe Long has played music most of his life. He has played in several different bands. In most of them he was the leader. He has toured numerous cities in the U.S. Besides Jimmy being a great singer and guitar player he is the son of nationally known recording artist Joey Long. Don Carroll also has played music most of his life. He was a member of the United States Navy Band for twenty years. After retiring from the Navy he toured with a group named Thunder Road out of Virginia until he moved back to Texas. Charlie Knight has played with several major artists including Miss Molly and the Whips and The Viscounts. Don Lacy has been playing music since he was fourteen years old. He and Don Carroll had a band named "Don Lacy and the Downbeats and later he moved to Nashville, Tennessee and played on the grand Ole opry with Jack Greene and Jeannie Seally. This is an experienced band.
Your influences?
Too many to list. If a person can play well, whether or not they or famous they may have been an influence.
Favorite spot?
Our favorite spot or city is where ever the next gig is. We don't care if it's a club with dim lights or center stage of a large concert. As long as we have a crowd to play too that's where we want to be.
Equipment used:
We do not endorse any particular equipment. We pay for our own equipment.
Anything else...?
Our band not only plays great music we put on a great show. If we're ever in your area or you're ever in our area, come see us and we'll make a believer out of you.
