I write what's in my head. Sometimes it gets a little crazy.

I also like to tell stories, prove my point, and make people think.
Why this name?
Well, I hear it all the time anyway.
Do you play live?
I'll probably play when I'm dead!

'Special' moment: I sang too hard once.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I don't know/care how it changes the music industry, because I don't care for the music industry. However, it does give people (who have access to the internet) a much bigger variety of music choices. I think THAT is priceless.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'm happy doing things just the way I'm doing them. So, "no."
Band History:
I started singing in talent shows when I was 6.
I taught myself how to play my aunt's acoustic guitar when I was 13.
I wrote my first song (on guitar) when I was 14.
I had punk bands and pop folk bands throughout my teenage years.
I played in a fiddle/country western band for 5 years (from the age of 14 until I was 19).
I moved to Tennessee when I was 19, to live near Nashville and pursue a BFA in Studio Art.
At university, I played in a female folk quartet, The Junkyard Hearts.
I also made a lot of music with a true friend, Ian Doerr (who now lives in Boston -- we continue to work on projects together).
In Tennessee, I co-founded a true-blue country duet called Good Luck Ola. Despite the geographical separation, we are still alive and kickin'! We plan to tour next summer, 2012.
I now live in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where I continue to pick guitar, banjo, mandolin, and occasionally play fiddle and harmonica.
I sing, and I write songs to express my thoughts and opinions -- and, sometimes, to tell funny or uncanny stories that enter my brain.
I love to perform, and I am an introvert. So, this music situation gets overwhelming and exhausting at times; but I will never stop doing what I unconditionally love to do.
Your influences?
Biology, nature, social situations, classical music, old-school Grand Ole Opry.
Favorite spot?
the outdoors.
Equipment used:
Godin classical guitar, Zoom H4n field recorder, Rode NT2 condenser microphone, Mogami cables, Hohner harmonicas, Gibson dreadnought, Martin acoustic guitar, Loar mandolin, Cubase, Cakewalk, violin, various noisemakers
