HAVING COME TO WITHIN AN INCH OF DYING WITH THYROID CANCER AND TREATMENT, LOSING MY SWEETHEARTS IN A CAR CRASH , BANKRUPTCY, THEN SEVERE DEPRESSION, EPILEPSY AND DIABETES, I DECIDED TO TRY MY HAND AT WRITING SONGS. (I THINK I'VE LIVED THE TRUE COUNTRY SONG lol)

I homed in on this one mainly because I remembered the old Frank Ifield version. And you've done a very good version of the song, very easy listening, the sort of number you could play over and over. The backing was very nicely arranged too, well done!

This is generally regarded as a really great song but what struck me was that your Christmas song is a better song!
The performance of it was sound but I think the other one enabled you to better display your full range and it came over as a stronger performance due to that.
I'm starting to get like Simon Cowell!!

Well this put me in mind of Jim Reeves and Elvis!
(More on that later).
I think it's a great song, it had a very warm feel to it and I really enjoyed listening to it.
You displayed a terrific vocal range in this song and, although I see you prefer writing and I know you do collab work, because that's how we first became friends, can I ask if you have access to an open-mic, buskers kind of evening? If not, I suggest you do get along if you have one in Devon!
