Since his inception Soundahfekz felt he was destined to be involved in the process of creating music. His father was the drummer for a regional band called captain crunch, who experienced moderate success. In his later years after joining the church, his father would take him to his practices sometimes, something he attributes significantly to his talent and urge to create music as a child.

Soundahfekz’s passion for production spawned out of the necessity to have original music when he and his friends got together to rap. The young Soundahfekz started out using an old Casio keyboard found around the house, a karaoke machine, and two cassette tapes he found. He would record his drums on one tape, switch cassettes, and record the melody on the other as the drums played. What he didn’t realie is that he essentially had the process down of recording a song (although quite primitive).

Soundahfekz began to take music seriously, convincing hsi parents to purchase a computer with internet access. A year down the road that purchase enabled him to become the #1 hip hop producer on mp3.com. This garnered many opportunities to work with artists all across the country, but being self aware (and realistic), he knew that he would need to continue improving if he wanted to compete with the Timbaland’s and Dr. Dre’s of the world.

With a developed sound and more mature, Soundahfekz strayed away from the production moniker Tenchi and went under the radar for a couple years with the goal of matching or exceeding the quality of production heard on the radio. When he resurfaced he began to command the attention of major recording artists through my craft. It was at that point he knew he he had chosen the right path.

As he developed, Soundahfekz was introduced to Aphilliates members DJ Head Debiase And Willie The Kid Via a good friend. After displaying his music, they began a working relationship that would signficantly expand his ability to distribute music to the streets. Soundahfekz was essentially jaded, and had lost faith in local talent until meeting the duo. He continued to develop music, but became frustrated with what he perceived was the lack of talented artists hailing from his city.

Faith restored and mentality rejuvenated, he went on to produce his first national release “working harder” featuring none other than Willie the Kid offering a barrage of lyrics over a dramatic rendition of a score from most recent Superman Movie. The track was a main attraction on the DJ Head Debiase / DJ Don Cannon mixtape project called “Intent to deliver” and soundahfekz began to reclaim the attention he once commanded as leader of the charts on mp3.com. He continues working with DJ Head Debiase and Willie The Kid, and has gone on to produce records for JR Writer, styles P, and many more.
