I'm a mid/late beginner guitarist...taking lessons now for about 2 years. Played keyboards a bit as a teenager, but abandoned music for about 30 years. Now trying to re-connect through the guitar.
I play any type of music I can learn, but my focus is Blues/Contemporary Jazz/JazzRock. Really learning everything from proper technique to modal theory. Also, just starting to learn how to record (what an adventure!)
Anyway, since I'm pretty new to all this, feedback is welcome!

Do you play live?
Have played guitar in public a few times...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Current Intenet technology makes collaboration and even training much easier. I can compare where I am relative to others via the internet. And also pick up quite a few tips and tricks that otherwise I'd have to wait years to learn.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
