Here's my short story version. The "J" stands for junior because my father wanted me to become one but my mom ended up winning and decided not to have the same name as my dad's. My father passed away back in '98 and I wanted to use the "J" in honor of my father. "Ricz" came about back in high school and its what my friends used to call me. It's short for "Ricafort" which is my last name. :)

Yes, I play the piano but I love singing and dancing in front of any audience big or small. Also, There's nothing more satisfying than the fact of entertaining the crowd and at the end of the day knowing that I've inspired/ touched them.

The internet has definitely changed the way we see the world. It gives all aspiring artists a chance to express their creativity and passion at what they do best. I'm all for it.

It all depends. I would still like to have a control over my music which lots of artists today face and have to deal with. I write my own songs and I definitely enjoy hearing the final product. This may sound funny but its kinda like raising your own child and watching them grow and prosper :D

well, let's see...laptop (for all the music biz), piano, my sacred song book where I write all my thoughts down, mic stand & small chair I bring at my shows (can't live without it), wireless shure mic (friend of mine hooked it up with a good price! thanks!), my IPOD (can't live without this, too!), & last but not the least, my manager & partner in crime (she completes me! ha)
