What do you get when you combine Tom Leher, Dougie Maclean, Wierd-Al Yankovic, James Taylor, Spike Jones, John Denver, Jethro Tull, Monty Python, Fairport Convention, and Daffy Duck with a mild mannered minstrel in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA)? Answer: me.

Why this name?

At events of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) I portray a 12th century English minstrel named "Efenwealt".

Do you play live?

Yes. I mostly play around campfires, renaissance faires, and SCA events. Sometimes I even do real medieval music for schools and library programs. I've started doing some Harry Potter inspired "Wizard Rock" under the name "The Blibbering Humdingers".

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It makes it harder to sell CDs, but easier to find odd and unusual music.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If one really wanted to pay me, I'd consider it.

Band History:

I started writing and playing music in 1989. I've released 4 independant CDs, and a half dozen or so home-made tapes. Mostly I perform for the local Renaissance Faire and SCA events like the Pennsic War.

Equipment used:

I play guitar, recorders, flutes, bodhran, some keyboards, and a variety of weird toys. These days I record on my Mac with Garage Band.
