We used to be called Weeband back in highschool, and it just stuck.

Weeband has evolved dramatically since it was formed around 6 years ago. It has undergone several changes in its lineup, and has played into different styles of songs since its creation.

The band started out during the highschool days of drummer Charles Hernandez and lead guitarist Andrew Wee. They had 3 other members, Victor Castillo, Chino Jamil Mendoza and Raphael Arada, all of whom are highschool peers. They played during school events, doing cover songs of mostly alternative music.

After highschool, Charles and Andrew, along with Victor decided to continue the band, playing alongside different guitar and bass players, Paul Trinidad and Babe Cabigas to name a few. But due to the unavailability of some of its existing members, the band experienced several changes in its lineup, even involving Charles being the lead vocalist for a battle-of-the-bands competition during August of 2005. After placing 2nd at the said event, the future existence of the band soon came into question.

During the summer of 2006, Charles and Andrew, the 2 remaining members from the original lineup, decided to revive the band. But again, due to the unavailability of members, the task was to no avail. Finally, later in the year, Arra Arricivita (guitar and vocals) and Francis Albert Mendoza (bass guitar) who are college friends of Charles, became the final 2 members.
