Welcome to the camp. This is as real as it gets, and as grimy as they come. I represent a small portion of the Bar Squad camp. We produce good music that everyone from the hood, to the suburbs can listen to and hopefully vibe too. The camp consist of Ty Rich, Al Russ, Lock, and ya boy The Truth.
Why this name?
The name comes from the hard work put into each bar of each track. Bar Squad lets people know that with each track we feel we can go bar for bar with anyone.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows people to get a wider fan base, and to get exposure outside of their state when they can’t afford to fly and or personally drive and try to do shows.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
My cousin has his own label, and I’m part of the camp. We a movement so if one decides to move then we all move.
