WELCOME IN THE BLUESBOX
------------------------------------

Thank you all for the support and the interest shown in our music since we started out in December 2006.
BLUESBOX is a group of friends playing together, recording and uploading their stuff in the internet.
It's not a traditional band ..... maybe it's more like an independent recording label.
Everything is done without profit being involved, though. It costs us no big money to do it.
I tell you: we would buy our instruments and use our time to play them anyway, wouldn't we ?
There you go, as silly as it can be ..... we just do it for the sake of music.
Unluckily we can be very lazy: most of the things are totally improvised ..... and recorded in a very basic way ..... but does it really matter ?

Nobody's perfect ... right ?

Thanks for your visit ..... we appreciate it.

And remember .... you can listen, download, broadcast everything for free.

Why this name?
Basically I am in love with the blues and I know more musicians then I'd need in a single band.
I thought: "I'll put them all in a box and call it BLUESBOX" !
I never meant to form a traditional band.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you play live?
We all play live, but in different bands and situations.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well ... letting a lawyer producing his own music it's quite a thing, I guess !
I'd never been able to do this before.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think it will happen ..... we don't need major labels to hear good music nowadays ..... besides the music industry don't need us to make money :- )

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Band History:
I started playing drums when I was 7 years old, back in Christmas 1973 when Santa gave me my first drum kit as a present.
At some point I remember the drums disappeared. My parents blame it on the neighbors.
I then started playing acoustic guitar at 13.
I got back on drums as soon as I could afford some.
I played rock, rock'n roll and blues in many bands, with all the guys above.
I never stopped playing and I never will.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Your influences?
Everything influenced me but the blues definitively struck me.
I like Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, The Band, Janis Joplin, Alman Brothers Band, James Brown, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Didley, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklyn, Billie Holiday, Muddy Waters, B.B. description
From the first gig of The Blues Byrds, a band produced by bluesbox independent label. The singer, Magic Mike (Mike Lyzenga) flew from America to Italy and we were lucky to be able to play all together on a stage.
