BLUESBOX bio
Since December 2006 we are guesting all sort of folks here, musicians, artists, both performing or just listening, young pals, old fellas, ladies and gentlemen ....... pacifists and guns makers ( .... just kidding).
We thank you all for the support and the interest shown in our music. All your clicks are truly flattering. Unluckily we cannot dedicate 100% of our time to music production. That's why the quality of our free downloading recordings is sometimes aproximative.
Many musicians are recording nearly every night at bluesbox, here they are:
- Alessandro Romanello: guitars (a.k.a. formerly James Smoking Guitar Jackson - lately Al Troja);
- Sandro Camisa: voice/tenor saxophone (a.k.a. Rod Blouset);
- Marcello Cremona: bass/acoustic guitar/organ (Steve "the healer" Taggart);
- Andrea Cremona: drums & percussions, Telecaster/acoustic guitar (a.k.a. formerly Henry Lou Zanetti - lately T-bone Mustang);
- Davide Devoti: guitars (a.k.a. D.D. King)
- Sandro Mondini: voice (a.k.a. Sam Littleworlds)
- Elena Bozzarelli: voice (a.k.a. Raquel Donovan)
- Marco Villa: trumpet (a.k.a. Glenn Venue);
- Edo Mazzoni: flute & alto sax (a.k.a. Ed Deville);
- Giancarlo Groppi: alto sax (a.k.a. Don Carlos Moreno);

Why this name?
Basically I am in love with the blues and I know more musicians then I'd need in a single band. That's how I started out in December 2006.
I thought: "I'll put them all in a box and call it BLUESBOX" !
I never wanted to form a traditional band, just wanted to play with all of them, push "record" and give the result to the world .... because I think they're good.
Do you play live?
Each musician recording for BLUESBOX has his/her own live and studio experiences. Very often me or some of the guys "in the box" play live or in studio in different situations.
The songs on this pages have never been performed live on stage, though. Actually some of the musicians on them never played together ... and some don't even know each other !!!!
We all would love to play BLUESBOX music live and I'm sure we'll get there, eventually.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well ... letting a lawyer producing his own music it's quite a thing, I guess !
I'd never been able to do this before.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think it will happen ..... things changed massively. We don't need major labels to hear good music plus the music industry don't need us to make money.
Ain't that true ?
Band History:
I started drumming soon after Christmas 1973, when I was 6 years old. My parents gave me a toy drum kit (being them fans of Beatles, it was a replica of Ringo Starr's one).
I started playing acoustic guitar at 13 and I formed many bands, mainly rock'n roll and blues .... I never stopped playing.
.... and I never will
Your influences?
Everything influenced me but the blues definitively got me.
I love performers like Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Didley, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklyn, Billie Holiday, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Freddy King, Eric Clapton, Yardbirds, John Mayall, Steve Ray Vaughan, Albert Collins, Robert Johnson, Lighting Hopkins, Lowell Fulson, Howling Wolf, Van Morrison, Marshall Tucker Band, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Deep Purple, Jefferson Airplane, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Johnny Winter, Elmore James, Lousiana Red, Jimmy Reed, Otis Rush, Ray Cooder, Robert Cray, Roy Buchanan, Magic Sam, Bobby "blue" Blind, Menphis Slim, Wynone Harris, T-bone Walker, Big Joe Turner, ... do I have to continue ?
