It wasnt a sunny night of may when former band members Bryan,John Ward and Mek of "dumbfounded" decided to form a band called "uyayi". They've got some gigs going on,but problems occurred and they decided to let john ward stick to his other bands and leave uyayi.Then came Jerson Reyes (lead guitars) and Ranier Jambaro (bass) to fill in.


The name UYAYI was Mek's idea. The real meaning of it is a lullaby (well, thats what we know). The band didnt really want a catchy name, instead they wanted it to sound irritating, childish. What makes this current band intact is that each member initiates ideas differently which results in an absolute creation of music made meaningful by the message it conveys.

Alternative pop/rock band "UYAYI" comes with a certain style of creativity through their type of music and a bunch of street-scented lyrics that will surely touch anyone's heart and feet.

Just pure OPM fans.
