Listen to the Rain
Andy Halsey started writing songs as a teenager. He went full time in the nineties, signing to various labels. He released his debut album Walk the Big Circle in 1995. Recording sessions, tours, residencies and showcases made up the bulk of the time after that. Moving to the english lake district in 2001, he has worked hard since to develop new music and found the right place to do it. The new songs (and some old ones) will appear on this site at regular intervals. Enjoy the songs and check out a gig if you can.

My parents chose it.

Yes. Many special, interesting and exciting tales to tell....some day.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I am an artist not a research company.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well now...that depends on the deal.
Your influences?
People find all sorts of musical influences in what they listen to. I enjoy listening and learning. I'm not paying homage to anyone. I am making it up as I go along.
Favorite spot?
On top of Scout Scar near Kendal, and on top of Primrose Hill in London
