Black Contingency (B.C.P.) consist of 3 members; Charles McShan, DeVaughn Moncrief, and D.L. "Curtis" Sykes. Why this name?
We were in college at the time we formed B.C.P., and the way we looked at things are that we are 3 black men whose contingency plan for life was our music. Voila!!! Black + Contingency = US.
Do you play live?
We started out being based in Ypsilanti, MI. Eventually we spread out to different parts of Michigan and in one case parts of NJ.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yup, but we don't want to sell out just for just making "Gangsta" Beats or any specific genre. We want to have our influence on all types of music, because all types of music influence us.
Equipment used:
Right now, just keyboards and our PCs. We do plan on eventually obtaining some hardware, but that takes money and time. No time like the present though.
