P.J. Price is no stranger to country music. In 1994, she released her self-titled debut album and was awarded "ALBUM OF THE YEAR '94" & "BEST FEMALE INDIE ARTIST OF THE YEAR - '94", as reported by European CMA reporting stations. That same year, Airplay International DJ's voted her "STAR OF TOMORROW" in 1995. At one point, P.J. had FOUR singles in the 'Top 10' airplay charts as reported by Vanguard, International... a feat that had never been done before!
P.J. went on to start the "Best of Texas" compilation CD program, which showcased other "Texas" artists to radio and this CD program had high reviews. She also was editor/ publisher of "Country Tradition News & Reviews" and was very active with her "Taste 'O Texas Music/BMI publishing company, helping songwriters obtain several cuts, some of which ended up on her comp. CD program and in the music charts! Now an active "Realtor" in Texas, P.J. is coming back full force with a new CD, titled "GAME OF LIFE", due to be released in March '07... This CD will be mostly 'self-penned' and contains a wide variety of 'style'..
Be assured you'll find some 'country', mixed with a little "Blues" and "Country-Pop"... and be assured, it'll leave you 'wanting more'... But after all, what else do you expect from Texas!?

Why this name?
New band currently forming... name TBD...
Do you play live?
Yes, mainly in Texas. Of course I LOVE it. I guess my most 'special moments' were during my '96 European tour. I made SO many new friends and fans... and the DJ's there are FANTASTIC.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has made a HUGE impact on the music industry, being 'especially helpful' to indie artists... Although it's been fairly easy to obtain radio airplay in other countries, it's very hard to get any 'significant' major airplay in the U.S.... I'm glad to see more 'indie' stations coming online in the U.S. and Texas is REALLY becoming aggressive in that area. HATS OFF to you guys! Thanks for all you do to help us 'indie' artists/labels out!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Let's put it this way... I won't be knocking on their doors beggin' for a deal. I don't plan on 'selling my soul' for it. You have to 'stay true' to who you are as an artist, something Country Major labels don't seem to understand.
Your influences?
Wynonna, Patty Loveless, Bonnie Raitt, Patsy Cline, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood... just to name a 'few'...
Favorite spot?
Now guys... this isn't a 'fair' question! You know I can't put anything in here except TEXAS or I'll be 'dis-owned'!!!
Equipment used:
PEAVEY monitors, speakers... MARTIN guitar.. Fender amps.... did I mention MARTIN guitar..?
Anything else...?
