Hi, my name is Cameron Martinez, and welcome to my band's page. Recently I got a band together. Together the 3 of us play many styles of music. We play jazz, gipsy jazz, rock, blues, flamenco, latin, and some surf. We are right now in the works for looking for a bass player, and or a drummer. -Thank you- And welcome to Mixed Beats homepage.
Why this name?
We play different areas of music. MAinly flamenco, but we dable in blues and jazz. And each type of music has its own beat. Hence the name Mixed Beats, and also the band members come from different walks of life.
Do you play live?
We play live ever so often. It's fun being able to play in front of a live audience and entertain them.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes, very much so. You can share music more easily than giving a CD to someone.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, if we had a big enough reputation localy and were ready for that kind of commitment.
Band History:
We just got together recently, but are progressing fast. I, Cameron Martinez, have been playing piano for the past 10 years. I picked up guitar 2 years ago. Ben Wade has played for a long period of time and even taken flamenco guitar lessons in MExico. August Connolly took lessons localy and is mainly into gipsy surf kind of music.
