I am John Fitzgerald - A simple west country boy with an ear for music - my music comes from my roots here in gloucestershire and the calm and refreshing sounds of Southern Ireland. I play the piano, guitar and flute in the music. I think thats about it.
Why this name?
Well unfortunatly its my name
Do you play live?
I have only just started out so im hoping ot do a few open mics in Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud next year.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it makes it more readily available no longer do you need to go into a shop and search thorugh some unknown bands back catelogue looking for that one song you danced to and your best friends wedding and then spend £10 to buy it. You can go to itunes type in the song and hey presto there it is!
I do have to say though mp3 is my least favourite medium - you loose so much of the rich sounds and quality you can get from vinyl or CD

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah in the end I think every one does - i would prefer to be on the indie label now that has had to sell out to the big corperations but keeps it identity
