Why this name?
This name best personifies the image of the producer that I am.
Just like your body's own shadow, I stand behind the artists I work with.
I exist only because of
God
and the influential energy and feedback of others.
U may not always see me, but I'm always there.
Do you play live?
I occasionally sing at some of the gigs of the artists
that I have produced.
My main thing is creating magic in the Shadow Lab though.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the whole music industry is 'bananas' right now.
In a good way though
The internet has given independant artists and producers a chance 2 be heard through the mp3 format as well as a host of other outlets.
Thanks 2 the founders and staff of the SoundClick artist community
Ally Byrd, Tolgar Canli, Tanju Canli and Phil
Artist worldwide have yet another home where we can network on a level that has no musical boundaries.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a deal for distribution and promotion.
Being independant feels good.
It affords me unlimited creative expression and the freedom to work with anyone that I choose.
I would only need a major label to help me fund my projects and to
assist me in reaching a larger fanbase.
Thats it.
Shadow Entertainment represents independence and I will sell out 2 no one
Band History:
Your influences?
I am influenced by a wide variety of artists and producers of several musical genres.
Some of my favorite artists are:
The late Tupac Shakur, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, and Prince,
among others.
As for producers:
Rodney Jerkins (Darkchild), Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and Wil.I.am,
just 2 name a few
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is that little tender area on a woman's neck
just below her ear.

Seriously, I love being in the studio behind the board creating.
My favorite city besides where I live has 2 be the ATL
Yessirrr!
Equipment used:
The recording equipment that I use 2 bring U the 'magic' that U hear are manufactored by
Fostex, Korg, Yamaha, and Boss
Anything else...?

I would like 2 see more hip-hop artists let go of conflicts and stop physically beefin'
with each other.
There is no need for it.
Its one thing to express yourself and release anger through your music, but its another thing 2 take out your violent frustrations on another human being.
Music is universal,
and it is only through the grace of God that we have the chance 2 express our creativity
in the first place.
Lets not 'ever' forget that.
