EFFECT BX is a Artist/producer with more than 20 plus years in the rap game, born & bred in "The Bronx" new york city up in the "Williamsbridge" section of the "Boogie Down" 10467 zip reps "Gun Hill, Burke & allerton ave.
Through the many years growing up in the birth of Hip-Hop's home EFFECT BX uses his experience through what he been through, done and saw growing up wheather its past or present or wheather it was positive or negotive and put it in a music form.
EFFECT BX also considers himself Hip-Hop, he lives Hip-Hop, he walks Hip-Hop, he talks Hip-Hop.
I also want to give my upmost respect to those who made this happen for all of us and say thank you to the creaters and pioneers.
Why this name?
I chose the name because everything has an EFFECT to it and each letter has meaning to it, so I wanted to have something with meaning, everything you say or do has an effect on something even the weather or the universe has an effect on the something thats how I came up with the name "EFFECT but being that I was the only dude in my crew who spit they started calling me "EFFECT" so I added the BX to rep not only my name but where I'm from which is The Bronx.
Do you play live?
Yes I do play live done a few shows in the past and yes I do like doing shows.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The net lets artist like myself get exposure all around the world and theres a more possibilty that you can get a record deal or appreciation of what you do and live..
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a deal but it has to be something where I can build from.
Band History:
Late 80's early 90's thats when EFFECT stepped on the seen.
Your influences?
Mainly the artist who where trying to get a message across like KRS ONE or PUBLIC ENEMY, but I'm from the streets so I am more of a hardcore fan then anything, the streets is where this music form came from and we as co-creators try to express or explain our lives and give our views on what we think and experienced in life and put it in a song.
Favorite spot?
The Bronx, New York City the 5 Boro's

MPC 2000, Zoom 1608 16 track recorder w/built in drum machine w/mic/sound effects, 24 second gemini sampler, co1 samson phamtom mic with a pot filter, 2 yamaha keyboards with over 800 sounds combined, 1 casio keyboard with 100 sounds, Alesis sr-16 16 bit stereo drum machine, Dvd player, v.c.r., sherwood receiver, R.C.A. duel C.D. player/recorder, sony duel cassette tape deck, magix audio studio, wavpad, Acoustica Mixcraft and a 1978 Gibson guitar and much-much more.
