Why this name?
I was always a loner in school and spent most of my time writing poetry and ryhmes. So since I was soley doing my thing, I put the two together.
Do you play live?
Yeah, I did a couple shows in my home town of Yakima, Wa. Mostly at the Hot Spot "Petes Night Club". My First show at "Petes". I was so drunk and hyped up by the time I got on the stage I accidently turned the mic off and did the whole song with it off.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yeah it gives small time artists a chance to get heard out side of the local atmosphere.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yeah! Most folks seem to beleive that record lables rob you of your money. But I don't beleive they rob you per say. I beleive you might get played for a good chunk of your money. but with the connections you make and knowledge of the industry that you learn makes you to be the hustler if you can put it to proper use.
Your influences?
All the old school West Coast rappers(spice-1 E-40 & the Click, Mac Mall, Snoop, Dre, Brotha Lynch Hung, NWA, Eazy-E) East Coast rappers(B.I.G., LL, KRS One, Lost Boys, Cannabis, Ja, Nas, Onyx, Dmx) Midwest and downsouth( the whole Nolimit squad, Trick Daddy, OutKast, Tech9,Ghetto Boys,Chamillionare & Paul Wall (when they where together)Goodie mobb, funk mobb, Jeezie, T.I., field Mob. man the list is endless. tell you the truth i'm influenced by anyone and everyone thats doing there thing.
Favorite spot?
The whole Seattle area! I grew up there and had the greatest moments of my life there. The People there are so mellow and cool. I think it's from all that dank floating around.
Equipment used:
I got a m-audio moble pre, a blue bird mic, a midi man midi hook up connected to a cheap ass casio keyboard and last but not least. My old reliable dell dimension 2350 desktop PC named "Ebony". Me and Ebony have been laying down tracks non stop for over four years. and although the audio equiptment will come and go, ebony will still be here.
