Morbid Erection is the music written by Evan E. Goldberg, born out of drugs, lackthereof, love of electronic music, and the desperate need of electronic music in Northern California.
Why this name?
It just felt right at the time. Shouldn't erections *always* feel right?
Do you play live?
I've been thinking about performing live for the past few months now. Right now, I'm still not decided on whether or not I want to do so with a full live band or as a solo act.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet is a way for new artists to have their music heard, and for artists to pick up ideas from others and incorporate it into their own material.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It'd be very interesting. It would have to depend on the situation at the time.
Band History:
Morbid Erection was born in late 2006 from the bedroom of Evan E. Goldberg. Driven by a love for electronic music and too much time on his hands due to insomnia, he was able to use his knowledge of drumming along with musical theory to begin the project, originally called Autonomous Zone, into modern day Morbid.
Developed throughout countless drug parties, orgies, and jam sessions, Morbid Erection gained feedback from stoners, acidheads, and countless students from Goldberg's high school. In what could be called a grass roots advertising campaign, demo CD's were spread throughout the campus of the said school, driving the man behind The Erection to press on (in).
Now Goldberg has began working on a live performance for Morbid Erection, which is still in it's very early stages.

Your influences?
My heaviest influences are probably from Nine Inch Nails, Velvet Acid Christ, Massive Attack, and Aphex Twin. I'm also obsessed with 90's goa and industrial. I also listen to a lot of porn music, for some reason-I suppose that influences my music...one way or another.
Favorite spot?
It's between San Francisco, Kauai, and Granada.
Equipment used:
FL Studio 6 and 7, a Yamaha PSR3000, Casiotone CT-370, as well as several vocoders and wavesynths.
