What up everybody! It's ya boy, Sterlin Saint A.K.A. DJ S.N.T. I've been in the game since 2002. I started gettin' real serious about my business in 2004 though. Ever since i've used all the time i can in the "lab" or studyin' EMCEE'S who've made it (lyrics, how they started and how they got where they got, etc). Keep in mind that my motto is, "I am Hip Hop". Plain and simple. Thats how i live.

Check out all my beats:

Why this name?
Check XXL when they do my interview haha.
Do you play live?
My first performance ever was when i was 13 years old at a middle school dance. Since then I've done talent shows, i performed during a breakdance intermission, i throw down 16's at school all the time(in class, in the halls), i even did a verse on the intercom. I'm also a DJ, so i do live performances if my clients are interested. Basically, i don't have one set place i'm just everywhere.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I don't like the fact that people "download" everythin'. I mean artists make Albums for a reason. Now, people can just pick one song from that album, download it, and forget about the rest of the album. I also don't like the fact that people download/steal music. I personally don't download music, I buy it on vinyl (i DJ with records not CD's, the way it should be). I feel as though if i was a famous recordin' artist i wouldn't want my hard work stolen from me. Especially for free. I mean, if i put the time in, u best put your dimes($) in. But, the internet is good for artist (like myself) because it gets us out there to the public without havin' to go to every state and perform or pay to have posters made, advertisements posted or shown, and we don't have to pay for CD production costs.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Possibly. My goal is to have my own record label once i'm through with college (studing Audio and Media Technology). But, i wouldn't turn a deal down if it was presented to me, it would have to be a fair deal though. I've heard that major record companies make a lot of money off of the up-and-coming artists that don't have a clue about the business and the artist only gets a million when they're worth 10 times that.
Your influences?
The Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang Clan especially Method Man, definitely JAY-Z!!!, Nas, (early) Busta Rhymes, and Luda
Favorite spot?
My favorite area is the Whole N.E. (I've lived in MA,VT,NH and i've been around the New England states). I love NYC though. I've been there a couple times and it just had a good feel. Washington D.C.'s pretty chill too. But now i'm in Bean Town (aka Boston) and it's the best so far.
Equipment used:
I use Kinetic 2 to make beats. Cool edit pro 2 to record with a MXL 990 microphone. And i do all of this usin' my laptop.
