Dark Poetz was originated by Hypno, Injection and Shawn Murray (Mack Money) in the year 2003. Since then there has been members that have come and gone to pursue other things. Now in 2006, we hooked up with Ju-B as our producer/recording engineer and who also can rap. The reason we hooked up is because we share the same passion, creativity and goals. Now with the team complete the music is stronger than ever and only going to get better!!! Shout out to Boyd (Byson) for givin us that driving force. Shout out to Stephanie for having an amazing voice. Our new demo/album "Dark Poetz - Let the Truth Be Told" is now available for $10. Why this name?
We decided the name Dark Poetz because we express the harsh realities of life in a poetic way. Hence the name Dark Poetz
Do you play live?
We love playing live, we play live when ever we can, we have a couple shows under our belt, a special moment was after our first show which was for kids they all came up afterwards to ask us for our autagraph.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and mp3 has changed the music industry in a good and a bad way the good way it makes it easier for local groups like us to get our music out there.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It all depends who and if we can live off making music if not then we will just keep on doing what were doing now.
