Dave Gaudet
After purchasing his first guitar in 2003, the 39 year-old self taught musician and Massachusets resident writes, produces and performs all of the original songs on his debut CD "First Impression"... Influenced by such classic bands as: The Beatles, Eagles and Elton John, Dave is continually writing lyrics that are based on his own life experiences. His goal is to inspire others with his distinct writing abilities.
Why this name?
Hmmmmmm...Dave Gaudet??? It might have been given to me at birth...
Do you play live?
I play live nightly in my livingroom...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps unknown artists (like myself), get some exposure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Band History:
I have been playing the guitar since 2004. The original songs posted are the first songs that I have written and recorded.
Your influences?
Eagles, Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi. I have many other influences, but these are my favorites...
Favorite spot?

Equipment used:
Marshall amp..I have all types of guitars..Fender (50th Anniversary Strat), Yamaha (bass and electric accoustic), Jackson, Epiphone (Les Paul), Gibson (Les Paul), Line6 (Variax), Ibanez (Artcore), Hofner bass, Schecter (C1+ Classic Diamond series). I recently upgraded my recording equiptment from a Roland 8 track to a Digidesign 002 using Pro Tools LE for my PC. I also have a TC Helicon voice modeling rack system, and a Shure microphone mixer. I have upgraded my drum set from an accoustic 5-piece TKO set, to a Yamaha DTXtreme IIs electronic 6-piece set. I also have a Yamaha EMX212S-BR12 PA system with 2 cabs and 2 monitor speakers. I use a wireless Nady system for my live guitar playing, and a Shure wireless microphone system.

I want to say thank you to my beautiful daughter Emily, who inspire's me to continue to write. She has changed my life and I truly appreciate having her, through both the good and bad times that this world may bring us...Let me know what you think of my songs...
