Why this name?
The Middle Agent is a name that was bestowed upon me by a friend a ways back and just always seemed to fit. Its a manifestation of precise balance. I love walking the fine line between what people hate and what they love. I have always wanted to make music that could appeal to the most underground and obscure music lovers, while still maintaining some sort of overground appeal. I'm also a chameleon when it comes to my djing and producing, you never know what you might hear in the mix, but . The Middle Agent : I enjoy playing all sides of the Game...
Do you play live?
I have and continue to play live up and down the West Coast primarily. Based in Humboldt County, California, I'm centrally located between Vancouver and Los Angeles, Two of my favorite Hotspots, along with San Francisco of Course.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and mp3's have influenced the music industry in Good and Bad ways. I could right a thesis paper on it.

Its all about the music. When the technology is used properly and appropriately then all is well.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely, I would definitely sign with a major label . I make a living doing what I love. If I can make a ton of money of one contract, its just going to end up going back into my own or affiliated labels...

Your influences?
Growing up I was exposed to an extremely diverse amount of musical selection, from Rock, to punks, to Hip Hop, salsa, rap, classical, Jazz, Hardcore, you name it. When I got into Djing, Hip-hop and House were my two simultaneous loves. So its no surprise why most of what I play has either a funk or jazz feel, even if it is extremely techy or glitched out. I have always been a musician, ever since I was kicking in the womb, and I remember loving all forms of music.
I always tell people that there are quality songs in every genre, the key term here is quality. The problem is the definition of quality differs from person to person.
But I believe you can hear, feel it, or see it, when its there; Quality has heart and soul somewhere deep down that will show through.
So basically, I love it all, and my influences are extremely diverse, this allows my music to never become stale and to constantly surprise and innovate.
