My name is Andy and I'm in love. With life, expression, the world, and to bring out some arrogance; myself. I've had a love of all things musical since before I could walk. From banging on pots and pans, to sitting patiently on my father's lap as he played the keys at church. I started singing at an early age but I never really thought about it back then- I just did it because my mom asked me to- and because I liked to be in the spotlight. I got my very first guitar at the age of seven, but as most kids will do, I tossed it in the corner when the next gift-wrapped birthday present came along. I didn't really pick it up again until my early teen years. This was during my grunge phase. Although the true grunge period had long passed, I would sit in my dark and dank bedroom in my ratty old sweatshirts, playing those Kurt Cobain licks until my fingers bled. It wasn't long after and I started writing my own material. It all really took off from there.
I don't play music because people expect or want me to, I do it because I love it. I am perfectly content sitting on a busy street and playing my songs for the sky to hear. If passers-by deem me worthy enough for them to drop a few pennies in my open guitar case, then thank you very much.
