Vindi - I'm from London, the UK (can't change my profile settings) Mr. Versatile, 24 years of age has been a fan of hip hop since 9 years old. 'Its almost everything i listen to day and night, for inspiration and because listening ensures i learn all the time, from conscience rap to gangsta' - which is expressed in the songs each with their own concepts, views and humour. Vindi cannot be placed in one box except from laid back a flow/voice which has gained comparison to Faithless & Snoop Dogg, all thats missing is a foot in the door...
Why this name?
The name is short for Vindicater, I looked up the meaning I liked wat it stood for vindiciation, puttin something right and i am a very vindictive person at heart so it really sticks
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
MP3 is effecting music sales wise however there is so many albums being released that don't deserve our money so its a catch 22
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
My present mind states says not to, but who knows the future I'd have to be able to stick to my roots write wat i write with no restriction and at a major i'm sure that's not completely available, also sales wise with them dropping is it a good idea?
Your influences?
I'd say I'm a hip-hop head been listening to the music since I was about 8 years of age. My influences are 2Pac, NaS, A Tribe Called Quest, Slum Village, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Papoose, Jay-Z, Redman, Wu-Tang Clan, Gangstarr, Mobb Deep, Snoop Dogg, Common, Kanye West & many more...
Favorite spot?
Anything else...?
Have a listen to the mixtape give me feedback, holler if u want and check my group page - i plan to do a solo project after the group
