The vocalists are Shameka Henderson, Deonne McNeill, and Jennifer Henderson. The music is produced by Danny Smith. Initially it was a solo act for Shameka as an R&B singer, but later transformed spiritually into gospel.
Why this name?
God has a plan for each of us. Divine Favor is when He shows you favor in your life when it comes to the world around you. Amazing things happen when you have divine favor on your life.
Do you play live?
We sing live currently in our hometown, usually in church. We have performed in other small events. It's enjoyable, good for starting out.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is a good avenue, but it is easy to get lost amongst all the other millions of people if you have nothing to help you stand out.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Your influences?
Shameka's influences stemmed from childhood and hanging out with dad. The Isley Brothers, Anita Baker, and a variety of other 70's and 80's bands stick out in my mind. Current day influences include Jamie Foxx, (whom I would love to record with), Yolanda Adams, Indie.Arie, just to name a few. I mostly admire those who can right their own words and take ownership for the mood of the music.
