Why this name?
Kullamity is the incorrect spelling of the word calamity.

calamity
[kuh-lam-i-tee]

–noun, plural
1. a great misfortune or disaster, as a flood or serious injury.
2. grievous affliction; adversity; misery: the calamity of war.
Do you play live?
Not yet. But we plan on it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it helps. It really gets you out there, into the public eye... or ear rather.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yeah. If the pay was good enough.
Band History:
Lyricist Records, also known as The Gravel Pit, is a Pittsburgh based recording studio stationed in Westwood. Originally reviving his fathers old tools and gaining some street cred, Lyricist Records is finally making itself known in the greater Pittsburgh area.

The current roster consists of several artists with different musical intrests and backgrounds. Rappers Iscariot and Kullamity pollute the airwaves with their foul tongues and deep emotions, while the soothing voice of Crhyme pieces each song together, enriching the story there all trying to get accross.

With production credits from Iscariot himself, T-Roy (courtesy of Raw Entertainment), and Bungalo, their style is definitely defined as unique; being quoted as "blurring the line between hip-hop and r&b".

As far as the mixtape scene, the record label intends to stay true to the streets which gave birth to them. Crhyme is currently working on a mixtape, tentitively titled Real Muzic. The release date on that project is unknown at this time. They do, however, plan to release several mixtapes demonstrating the groups skill and cunning.

With a successful indy album, entitled Steal City, in their arsenal, they dont plan on stopping any time soon. They have 3 new albums slated for release this year (2006) starting with another compilation album featuring flavor from all around the Steel City. The other two albums are on a much more personal note, inviting you into the minds of Iscariot and Kullamity. Each solo album is being created with the intention of getting to know them on a much more personal level. Be prepared... we're taking over this year.
