Somewhere beneath the surface there is a gem that is too often overlooked, and ready to be discovered. Introducing a young female solo artist with a tremendous vocal quality that is never dated. A dynamic, energetic performer whose songs demand to be embraced. Her name…T’elissa.

T’elissa a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, started singing at an early age. There was always music in the home. Her father and other family members sung in a church choir. Influenced by her surroundings, T’elissa, developed a love for music, and without any formal training a natural ability to sing. Her musical commitment and passion for music was fueled by the R&B sounds of yesterday.

T’elissa won first place in a talent show presented by radio station WYLD FM 98 in New Orleans, Louisiana and participated in a citywide talent show in her hometown and was well received. She has developed an enormous fan base in her hometown.

T’elissa has a natural vocal talent, proving to be a musically solid and commercially viable entity with plenty of substance. When T’elissa takes to the stage, she captivates the audience with her sultry sounds, stage presence and raw energy. Her circle of musical influences includes Billie Holiday, Patti LaBelle and Whitney Houston.

At age 16, T’elissa left her loving family and moved to New York to live with her manager to pursue her dreams in becoming a singing sensation. She has performed at Pepper's, Jimmy's Uptown, Harlem Health Festival, La Bar Bat, Soul Café. She has been featured on singles with Jack Nick and Nick Canon. She is definitely on the path of achieving success. Her soulful and powerful sounds will undoubtedly impact the industry, which will be remembered for many years to come.
