Erm, I don't feel that I'm cool enough to write this little blurb in the third person, so. . . here I go. I (Sphere Nine, it's a solo project) just like to screw around with crap in my room and attempt to make music. You know, your typical MySpace-type band, nothing more.
Why this name?
The band name (most likely somewhat inaccurately) comes from the most blissful sphere of paradise in Dante's Divine Comedy. Because that's what this music is supposed to be: pure motherf***ing bliss. I mean, if listening to Styx is like being in hell, listening to Sphere Nine should be like a pig orgasm.
Your influences?
Gordian Knot, Cynic, Atheist, Death, Symphony X, Sleep Terror, Behold...the Arctopus, Spastic Ink, Spiral Architect, Continuo Renacer, Coroner, Testament, Helloween, Kreator, Arsis, Electro Quarterstaff, Augury, Pentagram, Grim Reaper, Mezarkabul, Psychotic Waltz, Quo Vadis, Racer X, Liquid Tension Experiment, Guthrie Govan, Shawn Lane, Chopin, Shostakovich, Liszt, Beethoven, Mozart, Stravinsky, Messaien, Webern, Debussy. . .
Equipment used:
Parker Fly Mojo, Schecter C1 Elite, Gibson SG, Marshall AVT275, Dunlop 535Q, Boss DS1, Boss SD1, Line 6 DL4, Ibanez CF7, Boss CE5, BBE 362. . .

But for the most part. . . my crappy computer.
Anything else...?
With the exception of "Somewhere Near", my music is all MIDI produced from Guitar Pro 5 with RSE. It sounds kinda crappy, but I'll probably record everything for real at some point. Maybe.
